Romulo Barral is one of the top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighters in the “Meio Pesado” weight division.

Tipped as “The Number 1 BJJ fighter in the world” in 2007 by Gracie Mag, Romulo Barral maintained this high class black belt status in the years that followed with consistent medals at the top BJJ tournaments in the world reaching BJJ Heroes’ Top 10 Competitors of All Time ranking.

As a black belt Romulo quickly established himself as one of the top figures in the medium-heavyweight division of jiu-jitsu, through numerous victories at an international level.

As a coach he has produced elite talent, the likes of Gabriel Arges, Edwin Najmi and Felipe Pena, amongst others.

In this course he teaches his favorite position, the spider guard, outlining a simple but effective approach to using this position in order to control your opponents and dictate the pace of the fight.

Romulo also shares valuable knowledge on what it takes to have the mindset of a champion.
